Meal and Food Service Practices
This child care center receives assistance to serve healthy meals to your children. We are apart of CACFP, providing all meals including dinner at 5:00 pm. Meals served here meet nutrition requirements established by USDA's Child and Adult Care Food Program.
For those children arriving in child care in the early morning (before 7:00am), the center serves cereal and milk for those who need to eat. Eating together creates an excellent atmosphere for social interaction. What a great way to start the day!
Snack is served daily and provided by Caring Hands Learning Center. All snacks and meals are nutritious so that our children learn to live a healthy lifestyle. We DO NOT serve soda, candy or gum.
Family style dining is offered to promote better table manners, as an enhancement of home training. The children will be encouraged but not forced to eat. We will discuss recurring eating problems with you, the parent if a problem persists.
Written approval of a physician or dietician must be on file for allergies or food preference.
IF YOUR CHILD IS ALLERGIC TO CERTAIN FOODS, A DOCTORS STATEMENT MUST BE ON FILE AND YOU, (THE PARENT) MUST PROVIDE AND ALTERNATE EQUIVALENT!
